"Who was I when I wanted to be" a Reactor Cluj creation, has found a home on the stage of Alba Iulia's Prichindel Puppet Theater.

Maialgesa Dat, Alexandra Ioana Harapu, Maria Elena Morar, and Alexandra Neag, recent theater graduates from Babeș-Bolyai University, bring to life the iconic princesses Jasmine, Ariel, Belle, and Aurora. But beyond the fairytale, their performance tells a remarkable real-life story.
On Thursday, October 25, 2024, at 8:00 PM, the Prichindel Puppet Theater in Alba Iulia hosted the performance "Who Was I When I Wanted to Be". The 90-minute show was recommended for ages 14 and up. The enterace was free.
In collaboration with Reactor, four theater graduates from Babeș-Bolyai University, under the direction of Ioana Tolarga, are presenting a remarkable theatrical performance. Each actress embodies a Disney princess, Ariel, Jasmine, Belle and Aurora.
This captivating performance blends theater, dance, and visual arts to create a unique experience that delves into themes of identity, growing up, and chasing dreams.
The play portrays women in diverse stages of life, beginning with their childhood, and explores the unique journey of each princess. It's an emotional journey from start to finish. The white chorus serves as a constant, representing a place of comfort. The production is enriched by the use of puppets and an original soundtrack composed by the actresses.
I found myself deeply connected to many of the scenarios depicted.
