Classes

The target group is the language classes from viio, 4 modern languages and the language classes from the fifth and sixth grade. The fourth graders are the interested in the paper.

Publication

The majority of the recipients would like the paper to be published monthly. On second place is the answer Per term. Other answers were biweekly, special events and every day.

Most students favoured the name ‘De VIIO Gazet’. There were also other answers, like: ‘Het Belang Van VIIO’, ‘XOXO VIIO’. All the suggested names had VIIO in them. Another name that was suggested: ‘VIIO Times’.
 

Format

50% of the recipients would like to receive both a paper and digital version of the newspaper. 41% would like to read it digitally and only 8% want it to be printed.

20,5% of the students want a news section, including external news. Other most wanted sections are the games and comics sections. followed by interviews (18,2%), opinion pieces (13,6%) and creative writing (12,1%).

Students would also like to have the possibility to discuss controversial topics, includinga teachers’ corner (91,2%) and be allowed to post messages anonymously.

Contribution

Unfortunately only 26% of the recipients is interested in contributing content.

Conclusion

The survey shows that people are interested in a schoolpaper, but do not want to contribute.
