This poem is a letter to the younger me, it tells me that I grew up to be confident despite what we endured.

Dear little me

Your love is like blooming flowers,

unlocking your passion for fighting.

including a kind of power,

That only I wish to put into writing.

Oh, dear little me, you have grown,

To be you, not anyone big, not anyone great, just you,

With a heart of gold, you are known.

For now, there is so much more for us to do.

Let’s do what we do best,

You stay the kindest little girl,

While I be put to the test,

Your smile will forever shine like a pearl.

And yet, dear little me, not every challenge we endured, we won.

But we bled, fought, drew blood from tulips and we won’t ever be done.
