Fur in Fashion
So innocent, meant no harm, wrong nor sin.
Velvet like, their auburn coloured coat
Hurtfully ripped from bone to flesh and skin
To cages dragged by nothing but their throat.
No harm was meant, but once done left for good
Their warmth, their pride, your auburn coloured coat
For a pleasant look so misunderstood
Woven fabric as alternative vote.
stabbed, slaughtered, wasted, devoured like pests
murdered for value, money and profit
Looks are deceiving, our eyes show their deaths
Just for a compliment for your closet
- And while they take from me what is not theirs,
I shout “why me?” but no one even cares.
