Alert or Misled in a World of Noise?

You might think discussing the topic of fascism pointless in the modern world. But I think otherwise.  This political ideology took a new form after the year 1945, and it increases, day by day, without giving us any other option but to accept it.  We need to find a way to unite and fight against our common enemy, and fascism isn't the way.

Fascism/Nazism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology characterized by extreme nationalism, militarism, and the supremacy of the nation over the individual. I call this political ideology a weapon that the government uses against the working class. People think that by joining this mindset, they are fighting their enemy (minorities such as: African-Americans, Romani, Hispanic etc.), but the facts show us otherwise.

By going against those who built this society, we are leaving behind the knowledge we have of history, culture, and basic empathy, which is precisely what those in power want. This individualism that we learn to implement in a capitalist manner helps important institutions and the politicians in power to never be dethroned and earn more and more money. The basic ideas that may associate you with a Nazi, are the following:

A) Anti-immigration. This principle makes no sense. We depend on immigrants; they are the ones who gave the colonizers the land that millions of beings live on. The most well-known case of stolen land is America. In theory, America, the so-called "Land of freedom", wouldn't exist if the Native Americans/ Paleo-Indinas wouldn't have been there first, before the colonization.

B) Racial purity. It is proven scientifically that there is no superior race. We all come from the same ancestors, and we have been intermingling with each other since the beginning of time.

C) White supremacy. The idea that Caucasians are superior to any other race has no scientific proof. The only "proof" that they have is the theory of skull measurement, which was applied in the 19th century.

D) Nationalism. It has been proven that, as a nation, individualism cannot work. We are constantly exchanging goods and ideas with other nations. Being a nationalist and knowing proven facts also means being a hypocrite.

E) Social Darwinism. The idea of "survival of the fittest," which imposes itself on us even under capitalism, was actually never used by Darwin. He discovered that species survive by adapting to nature, not by waging wars against it. In fact, he believed that we are losing the important ability that we earned through evolution- communication and creativity.

F) Anti-Semitism. This hate towards the Jewish community has no historical purpose whatsoever. In the 20th century, anti-Semitic capitalists claimed that Jews were part of an "international Bolshevik conspiracy", while anti-Semitic anti-capitalists said that Jews were part of a conspiracy of bankers and capitalists. Now, that we have these two claims, we can clearly see that Jews were always found to be the scapegoats by anti-Semitic people.

I presented the principles that you have to submit to as part of this political movement. But I can't be the only one who thinks they make no sense, mostly because of the people who adapt to them. The target that the government has when choosing its fascists is easy: poor people. The ones in power choose financially unstable people who would do anything for money. They make them believe that through hating and hurting minorities, they are going to get closer to a future without filth. But to get there, we have to unite, regardless of whether we are Caucasians or African-Americans, and fight our common enemy, that exploits us- The Fascist State.

In 1933, in Germany, everybody who was under the neo-nazi regime had to submit, otherwise they would have suffered the consequences, but in the year 2026, how can we still fall for the propaganda? The answer is simple: the problem we face is that the working class is overworked, vulnerable, and manipulated. We think that we live in democracy, but this political ideology is the hardest one to implement, because you should be able to use all your rights. When politicians use tools like "Red Scare" (term used by anti-fascists/ socialists/ communists/ anarhists to define fascist propaganda used against them), it's difficult to make up what is in your favour or theirs.

An example of a very common term that we hear a lot in Romania, which I consider it should be categorized as a "Red Scare" term, is the fact that Communism was implemented in our country during the years 1947-1989. You hear this a lot during the elections, coming from the people who are running in the elections, or through the stories told by the elders who lived during that period. This legal "Communist label" that was assigned to the Ceausescu Period in Romania, is not a correct one if we are to analyze the catastrophes that occurred on the territory of our country, with the catastrophes from Nazi Germany. There are too many similarities for us not to say that communism has never taken place in Romania, but fascism did.

People in power, use these techniques of manipulation, such as telling half of the truth, in order to make fascism a normal ideology. Technology is an important factor in this ideology. The media is a rabbit hole full of disinformation, controlled by billionaires. It keeps us busy while they destroy our environment. Art has always been political, and everything that surrounds us can be considered art, and so, it has much more meaning than we think. In order to open our eyes or stop feeling helpless, we need to take small actions that matter. Start informing yourself and ask questions. Take the matter into your own hands by participating in local protests, boycotting, writing your thoughts somewhere, or making illustrations about your beliefs.

Your voice and actions matter!
