"The past is timeless" is a poem about how people struggle with mental problems and overthinking. We all know that this subject is very common nowadays and that we need to recognize this problem. 

The past is timeless
at least in my mind.
My thoughts keep spinning 

round and round
until time just won’t move or sound.
The thoughts that whisper
in the dead of night—
they pull me under,
I'm too weak to fight.

The promises I broke apart,
my own mistakes I can't forget.
I wish that I could turn them back,
but time's not done with me just yet.

The things that stir,
yet none can see.
Each night I drown in memory.

The past is timeless,
for all I do,
forgetting it
I can't break through.
